My name is Gennelle Miles. To give you a bit of background on myself, I am a woman of strong faith in JESUS CHRIST, a devoted wife of a Pastor, and a mother who would do anything for her children. We currently reside jn Charlotte NC and we moved here from upstate NY.

I have always been interested in Birth Work, I was attending births with friends and family and had been doing so independently for a while before I decided to make it a "career choice", but being a mother of six, it just was not a possibility. Having experienced natural birth myself many times, I am keenly aware of the amount of support a birthing mother requires to obtain the best possible outcome.

Three of my births (my girls) were in hospitals and I remember how uncomfortable I was, how alone I felt. Even with my husband, who was highly attentive and supportive, I felt like I was the only one going through this with a room full of strangers. My next two births were AMAZING. All of my boys were born at home, I was able to move about freely, smell everything and anything that was familiar, hug and love on my children, and just be in my own space. I distinctly remember feeling loved and supported, and it gave me a sense of peace and calm. Even in the rough moments I was able to cling to that feeling.

It wasn’t until my last birth that I got to experience what it is like to have MOTHERS present at my birth, women who had experienced what I was smack dab in the middle of. I watched as these women cared for me, cared for my husband, and doted on my children when I could not, the love in my home was palpable!! It was then after my last son was born that my desire of birth work was reawakened, I promised myself when my youngest turned five that I would pursue a career in the birthing field. When my oldest got married and subsequently pregnant with my grandson, I leaped at the opportunity to share with her all I have learned and experienced. I share all of this with you.
