About...
I'm Leona Blain- childbirth educator, birth & postpartum doula, military wife, and mom to 2 beautiful home born girls. I felt the Lord place a calling to birth work on my heart in 2021 while my husband was deployed to South Korea. I dug into my preconceived notions surrounding femininity, womanhood, birth, and beyond. I was drawn to the study of midwifery and devoured any resources I could get my hands on about pregnancy and birth. I realized that true freedom in my God-given identity as a woman was found when I embraced God's design for womanhood through holistic living.
The Lord knew that to fulfill my calling to serve women I would have to grow in wisdom through experience first. I understood that if I leaned into God's design, birth had the potential to be a sacred, empowering, and transformative experience. I had my first daughter at home in January 2023 with a wonderful birth team after a hard won 40 hour labor. Her birth propelled me to continue down the path of learning and growing in my early motherhood. I leaned into trust and had a hands off "almost unassisted" birth with traditional midwives with my second daughter in 2024. Both of these experiences affirmed the sanctity and "normalcy" of the physiology of pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding.
Along the way I developed my own philosophy as a birth servant and found Lauren Hall and Brooke Collier's program Hearthmother Journey. I am currently halfway through my HJ cohort and will graduate this October. In the meantime I have had the privilege of supporting my first few doula and childbirth education clients. I strive to companion women on their own paths, witness them, and above all point them to Christ. My birth philosophy is summed up by my mentor Brooke's phrase "Trust God. Trust Birth."
I offer prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula services to aligned women in the Olympia, WA area. In person community building events are on the horizon soon!
Testimonials...
"Right from the beginning Leona went above and beyond to walk with me during my pregnancy. She really took the time to understand me and my needs. I was very impressed with her knowledge and skills. She made me much more comfortable at the end of my pregnancy. I am so grateful I got to have her as a part of my support system."

"Leona was the best doula for me in my final five weeks of pregnancy. She was a steady, grounded sounding board as I navigated several turbulent events that ultimately changed the trajectory of my birth plan. Her presence, care, and deep listening were exactly what I needed to steady my nervous system and reconnect with my intuition during a very vulnerable time. I am deeply grateful for Leona’s responsiveness, discernment, and unwavering support as an antepartum doula!"
