About...
Our practice prefers to maintain a small client load, serving one to three women a month. This enables us to give very individualized, intimate community care.
I am also the owner of a ministry for women of all ages called Blessing God's Way, where I have written a curriculum for girls age 8 and older (Maidens by His Design) explaining about their body, how they are created, and that holistic health is of utmost importance starting from a young age. My desire and passion is to see the next generation of girls educated and equipped to see their cycles through the perspective of holistic health: mind, body, and spirit.
Midwifery-led care means community care. We build relationships and work together in your maternity care; with shared electronic birth record and all in house lab work and ultrasounds (when indicated or desired).
We are here to support you and see that you have informed decision making throughout the maternity care, birth and postpartum period. Evidence-based care is our priority, as we work together with preparations, and preventative measures to ensure a great outcome.
I chose the Certified Professional Midwife credential because it encompasses the art and science of the work and calling of a midwife. This credential is not legal in all states yet, but is the only credential that specializes in out-of-hospital birth. We also only take low-risk women and refer them on to OB when needed or necessary. We also screen clients before accepting them into care – to make sure we are a good fit for them, and they are a good fit for us.

"If you are looking for top-notch prenatal, labor, and postpartum care then this is the place to go! Doran is genuine and compassionate -always knowledgeable when you have questions. She takes her time with every appointment and gets to know you. She is trustworthy and desires for you to have the birth experience that YOU want, no hidden agenda like in conventional hospitals. I've had 2 pregnancies with Doran as my midwife and was able to have the unmedicated birth I wanted both times!"

"Doran and her team are amazing! They are extremely knowledgeable, and they are so caring. Doran has delivered our last three babies, and I wouldn't want to have a baby without her help. Our most recent delivery was the best yet, and Doran and Sam were so wonderful. I highly recommend them to everyone who is able to have a home birth or use a midwife!"
